Magnesium bathl

Magnesium flakes are often used for a foot bath or bath because they are cheaper than the oil. However, you can also use magnesium oil for a foot bath or bath.

Please note that with the magnesium oil, substances may have been added. Pure magnesium oil consists of magnesium chloride dissolved in water (magnesium, chloride and aqua or water). If it contains more substances, they have been added and I cannot advise you via this blog whether this is positive, negative or neutral.

If you cannot apply the 31% magnesium oil directly to your skin, there is a good chance that your magnesium supply is low and your body will benefit from supplementing. The reaction is stinging to burning and (bright) red coloring. If you suffer from this, wash off the magnesium as soon as possible with water. Start with a low concentrated foot bath (1-4%). Then use a magnesium foot bath daily and increase the concentration until you can have the oil directly on the skin. After a few weeks you can reduce this to 1-3x a week.

Please note: magnesium is a salt. If you have a wound, no matter how small, you will immediately experience a burning sensation on that spot. This does not necessarily indicate a deficiency.

Foot bad: Dissolve about 125 grams of magnesium flakes in 3 to 4 liters of water. (25-30 grams per liter gives a solution of 4-5%).

Bath tub: Use 1 to 2 kilograms of magnesium flakes for a bath (40-80 litres).

If you want to add a nice scent to your magnesium bath, use a drop of essential oil. I personally love the Doterra brand.
