We hebben het nodig om onze vitamines en mineralen op te kunnen nemen.<\/p>\n<p style=\"\">Jaap van Sloten (eigenaar Zechsal) heeft treffend gezegd: \u00b7\u201cMagnesium is als een pizzabodem waar je op kunt bouwen. Zonder magnesium zijn we vergelijkbaar met een zeef. We kunnen er van alles in gooien, maar het meeste zakt er ongestoord doorheen en wordt weer afgevoerd.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"\">Magnesium heeft een sleutelrol in onze hormoonbalans. Zonder magnesium kunnen we de feel good hormonen (Oxy, Sero en Melanie) niet aanmaken. Vandaar dat een tekort aan magnesium ook gemakkelijk een depressie en angsten kan veroorzaken. Dit verklaart de ellenlange vragenlijsten die wij pijnpati\u00ebnten in moeten vullen over depressieve gedachtes en angstgevoelens. Angst en depressie gaan vaak samen met chronische pijn. Dit heeft niet alleen te maken met de uitzichtloze situatie, maar ook met de chemische huishouding van ons lichaam. Er komt steeds meer bewijs dat chronische pijn op verschillende plaatsen in het lichaam ontstekingen veroorzaakt, welke intenser worden bij een magnesium tekort, waardoor meer vermoeidheid ontstaat. Dit zorgt voor afname van de feel good hormonen zoals Sero (serotonine) welke een pijn dempende werking heeft. Dit zorgt voor meer pijn en stress waardoor weer meer ontstekingen ontstaan. Een verschrikkelijke vicieuze cirkel die ik de <em>pijndans<\/em> noem en die bijna alle chronisch pijnpati\u00ebnten heel goed kennen.<\/p>\n<p style=\"\">Het is niet gezegd dat magnesium de <em>pijndans<\/em> kan doorbreken. Er is echter wel aangetoond dat een tekort aan magnesium bijdraagt aan het instant houden van de vicieuze cirkel die ik de pijndans noem.<\/p>\n<p style=\"\">Daarom ben ik er een groot voorstander van dat alle pijnpati\u00ebnten hun magnesium aanvullen!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Wist jij dat magnesium niet alleen bij stress een belangrijke rol speelt?
